This year I'm challenging myself to read 1 book every single month from January right through to December, so that's 12 books in 12 months. I used to love reading and could easily get through 2 or 3 books every single month but since I've started blogging properly, reading has definitely taken a back seat in my life and this year I've decided to make it 1 of my priority's to do every single night.
So far I've got 5 books stacked up on my bedside table just waiting to be read, the books I've chosen so far are:
- Danny Dyer - Life Lessons From The East End
- Nanny Pat: My East End Childhood
- The Hobbit
- No! I Don't Need Reading Glasses
- My James
Throughout the month of January I've been reading Danny Dyer's book and have found parts of it really funny....especially the chapter on what he thinks of Jeremy Kyle, let's just say Danny Dyer don't hold back and says exactly what he thinks.
I'm currently on chapter 32 of this book and there is only 34 chapters in the whole book, so I'm well on my way to have it finished by the end of January.
To remind me to read I have also added "reading" on my "February habit tracker" in my bullet journal, so when I check that every night I can make sure the box for that particular day is coloured in so that I know I have read a bit of the current book for that month.
Is there anything you are trying to do more of this year that you didn't do last year?
Let me know in the comment section below as I would love to know :-)
