NOTW: Nail Of The Week

So here I am with another "Nail Of The Week" blog post for you, and oh my it feels like forever since I last done one of these posts! In fact it feels like it's been forever since I last properly painted my nails, as I stopped painting them for a few weeks as I kept on chipping them whilst unpacking boxes at the new house.

This weeks "NOTW:Nail Of The Week" is this gorgeous colour called Hoopla by the brand Ciate, I've always been a massive fan of the paint pot's by Ciate as I love the style of the brush and the consistency of the nail polish is really easy to apply and usually only needs 2 coats to get the full effect of the colour.

I am really loving this colour on my nails at the moment, and it makes a change for me to have something that isn't a nude colour or a red colour....I think this one is a new favourite of mine though for sure!

Before I apply any colour to my nails I've been using a nail strengthener polish as a base coat, just to strengthen my nails a little bit as being a nail technician I hate it when my nails get to a nice length and then start to break where they are fragile.

After I've applied my nail strengthening coat, I will then go ahead and do 2 coats of the colour I've chosen...leaving at least 1 minute in between each coat. I will then leave these to dry for about 5-10 minutes before then applying my Barry M clear top coat.

I always do one hand at a time and let that dry completely before moving on to the other hand, I do this as I find that once I've painted both hands there is always something that needs doing haha. So I always make sure I have one hand free at all times these days.

(please do ignore my cuticles in this photo, this was before cuticle cream was applied)

What do you think of this nail colour?
Are there any Ciate nail colours you would recommend to me?
